Keep it local.
We can’t imagine more authentic product than freshly dug potatoes delivered from Horner family farm, who have been farming in Comber for over 300 years!
And that’s exactly where all of our local potatoes are coming from!
No fake dirt!
Just as they were dug, potatoes are not being washed, packed in plastic, and sprinkled with compost for decoration. Instead, they will come in breathable paper bags, covered in soil which both keeps them fresh and protects their earthy flavour from fading away.
Most widely grown variety in the UK...
And probably the best known as well! Maris Piper potatoes have a golden skin and creamy white flesh with a fluffy texture. This gives chips and wedges that crunchy outside and creamy middle. Mash made from Maris Pipers will be light and fluffy. Also good for roasting and baking. As they go into mash easily it’s best to use steam if you need them boiled.

Throughout the season our potatoes might require slightly different cook times as they are dug out at different stages of growth, for example first summer crop might be different from late year harvest.
Potatoes are ideal product to stock up on and store for longer periods of time. If you keep them in paper or breathable bags in cold, dry and dark place they can literally last even for months!
