Keep it local.

We can’t imagine more authentic product than freshly dug potatoes delivered from Horner family farm, who have been farming in Comber for over 300 years!

And that’s exactly where all of our local potatoes are coming from!

No fake dirt!

Just as they were dug, the potatoes are not washed, packed in plastic, and sprinkled with compost for decoration. Instead, they will come in breathable paper bags, covered in soil which both keeps them fresh and protects their earthy flavour from fading away.

Household favourite in Ireland.

Navan’s are a very versatile variety, particularly suited for chipping but is equally good for mashing, roasting or boiling(they don’t fall apart so easily). Navan’s are floury potatoes, usually medium to large sized, oval in shape with cream or white skin. This variety was actually developed in Northern Ireland in 1987!

Preparation tips

Throughout the season our potatoes might require slightly different cook times as they are dug out at different stages of growth, for example first summer crop might be different from late year harvest, but we’ll let you know!

Storage

Potatoes are ideal product to stock up on and store for longer periods of time. If you keep them in paper or breathable bags in cold, dry and dark place they can literally last even for months!
