What’s the difference?
Red Cabbage can be used the same way as the white cabbage. It has less cabbage taste and is a bit juicier. They tend to be a bit smaller than the regular ones.
Add some colour!
Use red cabbage to create multicoloured salads, vibrant stir fries or a red version of coleslaw. Pour some vinegar or citrus juice on shreded red cabbage to bring out the most of that purple-red colour.
Get ‘er pickled
Just like white cabbage, the red version can be turned into unique deep purple coloured sauerkraut.

Cabbages are a very long life vegetable. They will store even better in a fridge. If outer leaves appear dry or unhealthy after long storage, peel couple layers off and the rest should be intact.
